You describe the well — from the library of fields or with your own numbers — and each calculation ends in a specification a supplier can price: which lift method fits and how it should be sized, whether the near-wellbore damage is worth treating or the rock is worth fracturing, what a lateral drilled out of this hole would be worth, and which recovery methods the reservoir passes for. The last step names the companies who supply the equipment in your region.
Small operators and service companies who have to answer “what should we do with this well” before anybody is paid to design it. It replaces the first afternoon of that work, not the design itself.
No. It is a screening tool: it tells you which options survive the published criteria and roughly what they would cost, so that the request you send out is the right one. The terms of use say the same thing at greater length.
US oilfield units today — barrels, feet, psi, degrees Fahrenheit. A file in metric units is read and converted on the way in. Metric display comes in the next release.
Yes. A production report or a well list in a spreadsheet or a text file is read in the browser: the columns are matched and the units are asked for rather than guessed. The file is never uploaded.
The address you sign in with; a password, if you set one, stored as a salted hash; the sign-ins of the last 90 days — when, by code or by password, the browser and kind of device, never the address; the calculations you save — the name of the well, the values on the form, the answer and your note — until you delete them; a line for each document you take and each calculation you run — the date, which one, and the name of the well — kept for 400 days; the wells you mark; and the version of the terms you accepted. The documents themselves are made in your browser and are not stored. Deleting the account takes all of it, the address included.
Nothing while it is being tested. What each calculation costs after that is set out on what it will cost.
Anybody the terms of use do not exclude.
Take the request for quotation from any calculation. It is a PDF that states the well, the specification and the questions a supplier has to answer; the suppliers step shows who to send it to.
